EMACO Foam Fire Protection Systems deliver advanced suppression performance for Class A and Class B fires. Designed to smother flammable liquids and control vapor release, this range includes foam concentrates, proportioning equipment, generators, and mobile units—all engineered for reliability and compliance with NFPA standards. Built with precision materials and tested for consistency, EMACO’s foam systems provide dependable protection across industrial, petrochemical, and storage facilities.
Foam Fire Protection systems are used for fire protection where water alone is not effective, especially in flammable liquid fires. These systems are usually installed in fuel storage areas, petrochemical processing zones, tank farms, loading bays, and similar areas where Class B fires can occur.
In foam systems, foam concentrate is mixed with water through a proportioning system, such as bladder tanks and inline proportioners, to generate a foam solution. This foam solution is then applied onto the fire using a discharge device. Depending on the equipment used, the solution can be applied directly or expanded with air to form foam. When applied, the foam forms a blanket over the fuel surface, separating it from oxygen and cooling the fuel. This helps to control and extinguish the fire and also reduces the chances of re-ignition.
Depending on the protected area requirements and foam system design, foam can be applied through fixed installations or manually by firefighting personnel, especially in industrial and oil and gas environments.
