EMACO Branch Pipe Nozzle is a type of manually controlled firefighting nozzle used with fire hoses.

The nozzle allows instant connection for quick deployment with lever-operated jet/spray and shut-off controls. The detachable nozzle tip also allows for on-site flow control by switching between 9 mm and 13 mm outlets based on firefighting conditions.

In hydrant systems where this nozzle is generally used, water is the extinguishing medium. This causes the burning material to cool down below its ignition point, extinguishing the fire. This makes it effective against Class A fires, which cover ordinary combustibles such as wood, paper, cloth, and plastics.

The nozzle is used by firefighters and trained personnel in various scenarios, including:

Regular cleaning and inspection are recommended. Flush the nozzle after each operation to remove silt or foam residues, and apply light lubrication to the control mechanism. This keeps the valve responsive and prevents corrosion.
What sizes are available for different systems?
The nozzle comes in standard sizes such as 1.5”, 2”, and 2.5”, compatible with most hydrant outlets and fire hoses. Custom connection sizes can be supplied upon request.
Is the control valve easy to operate during emergencies?
Yes. The valve is designed for single-handed operation. It opens smoothly under pressure, allowing firefighters to instantly control the flow even when wearing gloves or in low-visibility environments.
